In these roles, she is helping shape one of the region’s most impactful events focused on dementia education, support, and advocacy.

The free full-day symposium will be held from 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and will bring together caregivers, healthcare professionals, and community members to deepen understanding and improve care for individuals living with dementia.

The Virtual Dementia Tour® offers a powerful, immersive experience using sensory-altering tools to simulate the effects of dementia. Participants engage in everyday tasks to gain a deeper understanding of the challenges those with dementia face, followed by a guided debrief session.

This symposium is hosted by the Beyond Dementia Coalition, Inc., in partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association Georgia Chapter. With leaders like Anslee Wilson at the helm, the event continues to grow as a cornerstone for dementia awareness and support in Northeast Georgia.

Anslee is a graduate of the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Sciences, with an emphasis in Child and Family Development. She is a distinguished board member and co-chair of the Gainesville-Hall County Community Council on Aging, and she holds a seat as a board member of the Beyond Dementia Coalition. She is also a member of the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce and has been involved with the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women campaign since 2021. In 2018, Anslee was presented with the Entrepreneurs: Masters of Innovation award by the Featherbone Communiversity. Anslee loves giving back to her beloved community.
