A Helping Hand Home Care is licensed by the state of Georgia as a non-medical home care provider. AHHHC employs caregivers and sends them to the home of your loved one to provide in-home care. We provide non-medical care and assist with daily living needs. Non-medical care, provided by CNAs or PCAs, consists of assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as preparing meals, eating, and bathing. We also have a professional R.N. on staff who makes initial and follow-up home assessments for our clients. Through agency care, AHHHC takes on the responsibility as an employer for client families. Shift vacancies are supported with a team of caregivers so the client is rarely with out care need.
Our caregivers go through an extensive hiring process that includes a background check, finger printing, drug screening and participate in orientation and skills training with our staff nurse
We work toward consistency with our caregivers. Some of our clients have requested the same caregiver. At AHHHC we work to find caregiver compatibility for our clients. The more hours requested, the more caregivers are required to staff a case. Most of our caregivers work a max of 40 hours a week. Although, if a family is fond of a particular caregiver and they are willing to work more, many times the family will pay the overtime.
AHHHC Caregivers must carry a smartphone with them and log in and out of their shifts through an app on their phones. The office uses a software system that is tied to the app so that we know exactly when a caregiver logs in and out of their shift.
Caregivers are required to notify the office immediately if they cannot make a shift. We are on call 24/7 and make every effort to notify the client or client family with a replacement for the shift as soon as possible.
Since Covid-19, our caregivers have been given access to Care Academy (an online training resource we pay for at A Helping Hand Home Care). We are the only home care company in the area that has a training room on site with a hospital bed, hoyer lift and other DME. We train through video and onsite sessions, depending on the topics.
We work to provide every client with a compatible caregiver. We begin start of care by meeting immediate need and then work to match the right caregiver based on care need and client preference.

Anslee Wilson has always been passionate about the elderly community and first found her niche in real estate selling/finding homes for them in Gainesville. When the market took a turn she began seeking out other opportunities to serve her community. She remembers how much she valued her family caregivers during the times that her family was struggling to care for her grandparents and then her mother. There were too many hours in the day and not enough hands around to help.
In 2011 A Helping Hand Home Care was born and today, A Helping Hand sends out a network of caregivers that have served upwards of 700 families. Anslee is just as passionate about the work that her team does here today as she was the day that she started.
Anslee is a graduate of the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Science with emphasis in Child and Family Development. She is a Distinguished board member of the Beyond Dementia Coalition and is the co-chair of the Community Council on Aging in Gainesville. In 2018, Anslee was presented the Entrepreneurs: Masters of Innovation award held by the Featherbone Communiversity.
A Helping Hand Home Care has won the Best of Hall County In-Home Elder Care Services every year since 2017 and Best of Home Care Employer of Choice (2016-2025), Best of Georgia (2024), Provider of Choice (2016-2025), Leader of Excellence (2017-2023) and ranked #48 in the 2024 Top 100 out of 4000+.

Join Our Team!
Our caregivers are the very heart of our care process here at A Helping Hand Home Care. Compassion and empathy for each and every person we care for is a primary concern. Our mission is to enable our clients to live happy, healthy, and independent lives in the comfort and familiarity of their homes. We also strive to develop our caregivers through comprehensive company training and monthly recognition.
At A Helping Hand Home Care, we were founded on a simple truth: some of the most dedicated, compassionate caregivers in the world are family members. Whether it’s a daughter helping her aging mother, a spouse supporting their partner through illness, or a son coordinating care from afar—these unsung heroes embody what caregiving truly means.
Many of us at A Helping Hand Home Care have walked that same path. We know the emotional, physical, and mental challenges that come with caring for a loved one, and we’ve built our services around supporting not just our clients, but their families too. Our mission is rooted in the belief that family caregivers deserve a team they can trust, and seniors deserve the same level of care, love, and respect they receive from their families.
We’re here to be an extension of that care—professional, reliable, and deeply personal.
