This September, our community will come together for Fall Fest, a weekend of celebration, connection, and fundraising in support of brain cancer research. Hosted by the Knox Martin Foundation, Fall Fest takes place September 12–13, 2025, at Lanier Islands and The 88 Farm in Homer, GA.
The event features a variety of activities, including a golf tournament, dove hunt, Mahjong in the Barn, food trucks, and a concert under the stars with Grammy Award–winning artists Danny Myrick, Dave Pahanish, and Matt Warren. Families and friends are invited to gather, enjoy the festivities, and help raise critical funds for research at the Duke Brain Tumor Center, one of the nation’s leading innovators in immunotherapy treatment.
The Knox Martin Foundation has already contributed over $1.3 million to fund groundbreaking clinical trials, giving patients with aggressive brain cancers like glioblastoma a chance at longer, fuller lives. As Dr. Mustafa Khasraw of Duke shared, “With the support of the Knox Martin Foundation, we completed the PesKE Clinical Trial in 2024 and identified a potential new treatment approach for patients with glioblastoma.”
At A Helping Hand Home Care, we are proud to share opportunities that support families, research, and hope for the future. If you or someone you know needs a brain tumor consultation or second opinion, the Knox Martin Foundation offers a direct line to the Duke Brain Tumor Center. Please reach out to them by email or phone to connect with expert care.
